Mathieu Belanger

Work Location:Mathieu is employed by the Forestry Research Partnership, based at the Canadian ecology center near Mattawa, ON.

Involvement in FRP: As the Forest Science Integration Coordinator, Mathieu communicates forest science information and research for the FRP in collaboration with the Canadian Institute of Forestry. This involves the writing and production of plain language articles, presentations, tech notes,media releases and editorials that can be used in both the Forestry Chronicle and the CIF's professional journal, also, within various extension and knowledge transfer media used by both the FRP and CIF.

Personal Profile: Mathieu graduated from the University of Ottawa with a BSc. honors in Human Kinetics. He is a local with a strong sense of community pride who is also an outdoor enthusiast. Mat is a firm believer that the forestry industry has a bright future in store if we adopt and adhere to the principles of sustainable forest management.
